Obituary for William "Bill" Arnold Juett
Frankfort – William “Bill” Arnold Juett, age 69, passed away at home on October 6, 2017. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Scott Rollins officiating. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Bill was born in Lexington, on May 18, 1948 to the late W.D. “DA” and Sara Arnold Wiley “Big Mom” Juett. He was united in marriage to Paula H. Juett, of Frankfort. He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1970, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Later, he became the owner and operator of Juett Pools and Spas for 37 years. He was a member of Highland Christian Church. An avid fisherman, he was a Charter Member of Frankfort’s Bassmasters. He treasured time spent attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Much of his life was spent on the farm, and he enjoyed winters in Florida. He was also the Founding Father of the “Frankfort Turtlers,” which he created himself. Known to many as “Big Bill,” his sense of humor and love for his family and friends will be cherished.
In addition to his wife, Paula, he is survived by his loving children, Kelley Hawkins (Michael), Mary Beth Mika (Steve) and Amy Crumbaugh (Will); his sister, Lucy F. Juett; and his beloved grandchildren, Makayla, Torey, and Logan Hawkins, Gracie and Carley Mika, and Thomas Allen, Lauren, and Ellen Crumbaugh. He was also blessed with many wonderful friends.
Proudly serving as pallbearers will be Michael Hawkins, Steve Mika, Will Crumbaugh, Thomas Allen Crumbaugh, Logan Hawkins, William C. Harrod, Larry Montgomery, Church Penn, and Mike Covington.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Layfette Masters, Darryl Thompson, Chuck Green, Bruce Trombley, George Ripberger, and his six granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care or the Highland Christian Church Memorial Fund.
