Today, as in times past, in the Christian tradition, as well as in other societies and cultures bound by differing traditions; coming together to share a meal before, during or after a funeral service is often an expected part of the funeral experience.
Here at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home, we know exactly how valuable this less formal, more intimate “together time” can be to families and their friends. It’s a time to tell stories, share memories; to cry, to laugh, and to support one another. That’s why we’ve made it easy for our families to host such a gathering.
Our dedicated concierge will work closely with both your family and the funeral director responsible for your loved one’s funeral service, to ensure your funeral reception is just how you want it to be.
We like to describe the funeral reception as a private retreat which offers families a haven for fellowship and recollection. It is a time when families and friends can share refreshments, light lunches, and even full course meals.
We have relationships with excellent catering services, and can arrange for a meal, light lunch, or simply a wide selection of appetizers. But, you’re also welcome to provide your own.
As our intention is to take the burden off the shoulders of our families, while preserving the traditions that enrich our lives, our fees are more than reasonable.
