Barbara Elizabeth Crouse Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Frankfort - Barbara Elizabeth Crouse, age 82, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Josh Rayborn officiating. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Daughter of William Richard Cook and Ella Mae Allen Cook, Barbara was born in Frankfort on February 12, 1940. She was a 1958 graduate of Bridgeport High School. Following, she attended nursing school and became an LPN. She worked at the Old Kings Daughters Hospital for 15 years. During her time there, she transitioned to Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Following her hospital work, she served as a nurse at various nursing homes throughout the surrounding counties, but mainly worked at Bradford Square. After 37 years, she retired from Beverly Health – Golden Living Nursing home. With a passion for caring for others, following her retirement she sat privately with the elderly at their homes for 5 years. Once she fully retired, she enjoyed attending the Senior Activity Center in Frankfort. In her spare time, she loved sitting outside and being with her family, especially during the holidays. She lived a full, great life. A great example of strength, she fought through all obstacles life threw her way. Barbara accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. She is survived by her sons, James “Andy” Crouse (Faith) and William “Bill” Crouse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Lawrence Crouse and daughter, Jennifer Lynn Crouse who passed in 1993. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin County Senior Activity Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
