Lawrenceburg, Kentucky – Denise Peterson Barr, 62, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 17, 2022. A celebration of Denise’s life will be held at a later date. Denise was born in Kane, Pennsylvania on May 15, 1959, to the late Ernest and Rebecca Peterson. She loved listening to music, watching movies, sitting on the back porch, swimming in her pool and going to the ocean. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. She was also well known by all for her wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Barr of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; stepsons, Charles Barr and Nicholas Barr both of Erie, Pennsylvania; sister, Sally Trone (Greg) of Glen Allen, Virginia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Peterson. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and Anderson Humane Society at 1410 Versailles Road, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky 40342. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
