Mike Lewis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Edwin Michael “Mike” Lewis, 77, of Frankfort. passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Frankfort Regional Hospital. Born in Frankfort May 15, 1942 he was a 1961 graduate of Franklin County High School, and an Air Force veteran. After a year traveling through Europe and North Africa, he was employed by IBM until leaving to start what would eventually become Red Dot Liquors in Frankfort. He owned and operated those stores for more than three decades. Mike is survived by his sister, Ronda Nelson (Tom), significant other, Tazanna Denson, and aunt, Margaret Martin, all of Frankfort. Eleven cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Edwin Lewis and Nannie Belle Lewis (Johnston) of Frankfort. Contribution in Mike’s memory may be made to The American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305 A bon vivant, Mike enjoyed fine dining and good wines. He loved his pets, marched to the beat of his own drum, yielded to no man, and lived his life to the fullest. He was a man who truly believed in a friend or two worthy of the name, and more than enough to drink – for thirst is a dangerous thing.
