Marvin Reed Adams

Marvin Reed Adams, 75, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, surrounded by his family. Services for Marvin will be 1:00 p. m. Wednesday at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Stutzman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Adams was born July 26, 1940, in Franklin County. He was a graduate of Anderson County High School. For many years he worked at Swifty and Grugin's Oil Companies and retired July, 2015, after 30 years of employment with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. He was a member of North Benson Baptist Church. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Martin and Emma Bell Aldridge Adams; four brothers, Curtis, Leonard, Wilmore and Charles Adams and three sisters, Brenda Adams, Della Wilson and Elsie Brown. He was a loving husband for 46 years to Frankie E. Adams; a loving and caring father to Brian R. Adams (Teresa), Brianne R. Fint (David) and Ryan W. Adams (Brande), all of Frankfort. He also loved and adored his nine grandchildren, Taylor Adams, Conner Adams, Brennan Adams, Summer Adams, Tayburn Adams, Nicholai Guyan, Dylan Adams, Emma Fint and Gavin Fint. Also surviving are siblings, Ruby Adams, Kenneth Adams and Janet Powell. Pallbearers are David Fint, Ryan Adams, Brian Adams, Taylor Adams, Larry Greenwell, Danny Allen and Rodney Smith. Honorary bearers will be Brennan Adams, Conner Adams, Summer Adams, Tayburn Adams, Dylan Adams, Emma Fint, Gavin Fint, Nicholai Guyan, Lisa Renfro, Doug Gay, Dale McKenzie, Marcella Adams, Betty Dews and Sharon Duvall. Flowers are welcome or expressions of sympathy in Marvin's memory are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601 or North Benson Baptist Church, 4845 Devils Hollow Road, Frankfort, KY 40601.
