The Foundry on Broadway

In 1891 this building was raised as the Charles Stubenrauch Saloon. In 1936 it evolved into a business hub, becoming Frankfort’s Packard sales and service dealership operated by the Paul Miller Garage.
In 1945, the ownership transferred to Orby Jackson and Thomas Spaulding, who used the space as a wholesale fruit grocery and restaurant called the “Broadway Grill.” Over the next twenty years, several more businesses utilized the space, including a taxi service, an army surplus store, and eventually the Endicott Distributing Company.
In 1967, the building was transformed into Mitchell’s Clothing Store, and it was in operation until 2012 when its doors were finally closed.
The space has recently been revitalized and repurposed by local business owners who wish to respect and honor its history. With an airy, industrial loft feel, exposed brick walls, wood beam ceiling and more than 4,500 square feet of usable space, The Foundry on Broadway is a stunning and unique event space that breathes life into Downtown Frankfort.

The site offers three acres of grassy lawns mixed with formal and informal planting beds. Flowers include perennials, such as roses and peonies, and annual beds filled with begonia, pansies and impatiens. Many areas are in the sun or partial sun, while a few secluded areas offer shade during most of the day. The changing seasons and blooming schedule mean that every month the gardens are a little different and each offers its own special charms. With so many areas and backdrops, the garden is perfect for groups from 10 to 250 people.

At Serafini, they can accommodate a wide variety of special occasions or celebrations. The entire restaurant can be booked for up to 120 guests. The two private rooms, the Governor's Room and the Bourbon Room can seat 25 to 75 people respectively. Enjoy a fine dinner and a quiet space to spend with family and friends.
