Andrew Hershey Jr. Frankfort- Services for Andrew Dohn Hershey Jr., 68 yrs., of Frankfort, will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009. Rev. Paul Guest and Rev. Steve Lang will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Woodford Co. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home. He died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Lincoln Hills Health Center, New Albany, IN, following an illness. A native of Jeffersonville, IN, he was born, May 9, 1941 and was a retired truck driver for Mercer Transportation, Louisville, KY. He was a member of the Gospel Home Mission House of Prayer. He is survived by his wife, Julia Elizabeth Brown Hershey; Stephen Andrew (Marye) Hershey, Alva Gene Hershey, Stephen Jesse Brown, and Thomas Marshall Brown, all of Frankfort; daughters, Donna Marie (Darrell) Hershey Johnson, Indianapolis, and Pamela Kay Hershey, Frankfort; brothers, Thomas "Tommy� (Joanne) Hershey, WI, Douglas (Annette) Hershey, VA, Jason (Kathy) Hershey, WA, and Carl (Chris) Hughes, CA; sisters, Dorothy "Dot� (Bob) Burns, Louisville, Mindy Agee, Clarksville, Janet (Hershel) Bradley, Sonora, Andrea (Randy) Keene, GA, Carla (Greg) Douglas, Munfordville, Judy (Larry) Minton, AL; and grandchildren, Ashley Cummins, OK, Martha Hershey, Frankfort, Andrea Danielle Hershey, Frankfort, Katelyn Hershey, Frankfort, Shalyn Brown, Carrolton, Cheryl Johnson and Leslie (Devin) Hamm, both of Indianapolis; and one great-grandchild, Jaxin Hamm of Indianapolis. He was the son of the late Andrew Dohn Hershey Sr. and Virginia Sigwall Hershey. Mr. Hershey was also preceded by brothers, Michael Hershey and George Hershey and step-mother, Evelyn Hershey. Pallbearers will be Alva Hershey, Stephen Brown, Darrell Johnson, David Burns, Joseph Powell, Tom Edwards, Curtis Kirk and Hershel Bradley. Honorary pallbearers are Emery Grimes, J.R. Ross, Vance Brown, James C. Lewis, Jr., Darron Chadwell and Danny Stroud. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Hershey to the family, Gospel Home Mission House of Prayer, 3906 Pinecroft Dr., Louisville, Ky, 40219 or a charity of choice. Military honors will be observed at the graveside by VFW Post 4075.
