Evelyn Marston Frankfort- Services for Evelyn Parker Marston, 77 yrs., of Stamping Ground, will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel, Frankfort at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009. Rev. James Bondurant will officiate. Burial will follow at Stamping Ground Masonic Cemetery, Stamping Ground, Ky. Visitation will be Friday, April 10, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She died Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington following an illness. A native of Stamping Ground, Ky, she was born, July 24, 1931 and retired from LRC, Ky. State Government as Chief Clerk of House of Representatives. Ms. Marston was an active member of the Big Spring Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution); member of the U.S. Daughters of the War of 1812; and a life time member of the Kentucky Historical Society. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Bradford Lee Marston, Gregory Warren Marston, Stephen Edward Marston, all of Frankfort, and Calvert Dee Marston, Stamping Ground; sisters, Lena (Raleigh) Graves, Stamping Ground, Helen (Bill) Maguire, Pensacola, FL, Edna (Don) Burwell, Albuquerque, NM, and Jean (Sonny) Elliott, Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Miranda, Ashlee, Amy and Kellee Marston; a step grandchild, Kelsey Parks; great grandchild, Bryce Marston; and special friend, Andy Hunter. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Lee "Red� and Edith Wright Parker. Pallbearers will be David Winans, Lloyd Hockensmith, Charlie Martin, Bobby Scruggs, Butch Stewart and Tommy Trivette. Gathering for family and friends will be Saturday, April 11, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at the Frankfort Elks Lodge, 309 Lewis St., Frankfort, Ky 40601 on the second floor in the banquette room.
