Jason Robert Shaw, 50, Loving Husband, Father, Friend, and Dedicated Community Leader Jason Robert Shaw, 50, of Frankfort, KY, passed away on November 9, 2024, surrounded by family. A devoted husband, father, and friend, Jason lived a life defined by service, compassion, and quiet strength. Jason was a cherished member of South Frankfort Presbyterian Church, where he led the youth group and sang in the choir. He was known for creating an inclusive, welcoming environment that made everyone feel safe and valued, regardless of their background. His unwavering commitment to supporting and guiding young people extended to his role as a soccer coach, where he inspired countless young athletes with his patience and encouragement. To his friends, Jason was a steadfast presence—a confidant who listened without judgment and offered support without hesitation. His loyalty, kindness, and humility made him a friend who could always be relied upon. Jason set an example through his quiet leadership and genuine concern for others, teaching those around him the true meaning of selflessness and integrity. Above all, Jason was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was endlessly proud of his children, Merritt and Sawyier, celebrating their achievements and supporting their dreams with unwavering enthusiasm. His deep love for his wife, Rachel, was evident in all that he did, and their partnership was a testament to a life built on love and mutual respect. His pride in his family was matched only by his dedication to them, a devotion that will remain a guiding light for those he leaves behind. Jason is survived by his beloved wife, Rachel; his son, Merritt; and his daughter, Sawyier. He also leaves behind his parents Bob and Ruth Ann Shaw, his brother, Joe, his brother’s family Caroline, Ian and Emma, as well as many other family members and friends who will continue to honor his legacy of kindness, love, and quiet strength. A service to celebrate Jason’s life will be held at Frankfort High Ewing Street Gym on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Frankfort High Lady Panthers Soccer Program, South Frankfort Presbyterian Church Youth Fund, or The Franklin County Humane Society in his memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
