Kolby Chadwick Tucker

Kolby Chadwick Tucker, age 24, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away August 26, 2026. He was born December 18, 2001 in Georgetown, Kentucky to Richard “Rick” and Wendy Tucker. Kolby was loved and adored by everyone who knew him. His smile was infectious, his sense of humor could brighten any room, and his kind and welcoming spirit made people feel comfortable and accepted in his presence. Kolby was proud of his career with the Franklin County Fire Department, where he found not only work he loved, but brothers he cherished. Being a firefighter meant so much to him. He was dedicated to his calling and to the men and women beside him. His brothers at the fire department were an important part of his life, and the pride he had in serving his community was evident to everyone who knew him. Kolby also proudly served as a member of the Kentucky National Guard, carrying with him the same dedication, loyalty, and commitment that defined so much of his life. Those who knew Kolby will remember his infectious smile, his quick wit, his kindness, and the way he could make people laugh. They will remember a man who showed up for others, who made people feel welcome, and who loved his family, community and country. Kolby is survived by his mother Wendy Tucker, father and stepmom Rick and Amber Tucker, sisters McKenna Tucker, Breauna Middleton and Addison Carmack, brothers Seth Tucker, Logan (Allison) Gabbard, Lane Parker, sisters of heart Navaya Acuff, Laykin Tucker and Sierra Warner. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents John and Vickie Thomas and paternal grandmother Donna Tucker, his aunt Kelley Thomas, and uncles Brandon Acuff, Brian Acuff and Bradford Acuff. Services for Kolby will be held at Capital City Christian Church on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jon Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Capital City Christian Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital City Christian Church or an organization of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
