Frankfort " Services for Lurene Taylor Wiley, 84 yrs., of Switzer, will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 10am Wednesday, July 6, 2011, with Reverend Jay Stratton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 4-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Wiley passed away June 29, 2011, at University of Kentucky Hospital from complications resulting from an automobile accident. A native of Frankfort, Lurene will born September 6, 1926, retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Transportation with over 40 years of service, and was a member of North Fork Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Switzer Ruritan Club, North Fork Baptist Church, and North Fork Baptist Church Keenagers. She is survived by her son, Daniel "Danny� Blackburn (Regina) Wiley; daughter, Jamie Jo Wiley (Johnny Ray) Broughton; six grandchildren, Leigh Taylor Wiley (Ricky) Burress, James William "JW� Brougton, Rebecca Lynn Broughton, Sharon Armstrong (Tim) Edwards, John (Lucky) Armstrong, Brian Armstrong; and six great grandchildren, Roen Burress, Devon Edwards, Sydney Edwards, Bryson Armstrong, Diego Armstrong, and Tristan Culvert, all of Frankfort; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Blackburn Wiley, her parents, Neal and Lucy Mae Taylor, a brother, Lee Roy Taylor, and a sister, Josie Taylor Wise. James "JW� Broughton, Ricky Burress, John Perry, John Armstrong, Brian Armstrong, Tim Edwards, Stephen Martin, and James "Jimmy� Dent will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Walter Majors, Bobby Heaton, Joe Palmer, Steven Kingslover, Darrell Woolums, Eric Woolums, James Henry Jr., Neal Wise, Carl David Jones, Simon Bradley Wiley, Eddie Wiley, Anthony Wiley, and members of the Switzer Ruritan Club. Flowers are welcome, or expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Lurene to North Fork Baptist Church, 3660 Rocky Branch Road, Frankfort, KY 40601; Hospice of the Bluegrass/Frankfort Office, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601; or Relay for Life, ATTN: RFL Franklin County, 1504 College Way, Lexington, KY 40502.
