Bagdad- Services for Minnie Morgan Penn Moore, age 98, of Bagdad, Kentucky, will be conducted at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home, Frankfort on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Chris Orr officiating. Burial will follow at Bagdad Cemetery, Bagdad, Kentucky. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Moore passed away at her granddaughter�s home in Harrodsburg, Kentucky on Friday, December 2, 2016. Mrs. Moore was born in Franklin County, Kentucky on October 6, 1918, the daughter of the late Charles Morgan Penn and Minnie Ellis Penn. She was the youngest of eleven siblings all preceding her in death. Also preceding her in death was her devoted husband of 70 years, Price Moore (1915-2010). Survivors include sons: Robert C. Moore (Jane) Dickson, TN; Randell Price Moore (Anne) Bagdad, Ky. Grandchildren are Lisa Carol Holmes (Tim) Dickson, TN, David C. Moore (Susan) Dickson, TN, Kristina A. Guelda (Jeremy) Harrodsburg, KY, Jamie Bartholf, (Joel) Macon, GA, Randell Austin Moore, Shelbyville, KY, Adam Johnson (Kayla) Bagdad, KY. James O'Neal Bagdad, KY. She was also blessed with twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Moore was a former member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and a current member of Indian Fork Baptist Church. As a member of Franklin and Shelby County Homemakers Clubs, she greatly enjoyed their fellowship and many travels with them. She was an outstanding cook and always enjoyed cooking for lots of company. One of her favorite activities was going to sales to look for a "bargain.� This led to her opening her own antique shop which she ran for many years. Her twenty-one children and grandchildren will miss Granny very much. Pallbearers will be Joel Bartholf, Jeremy Guelda, David Moore, Duncan Moore, Austin Moore, and Gabe Popp. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Penn, Doug Pulliam, Barty Allison, James O'Neal, Adam Johnson, Wilmona Sheets, and Barbara Semones. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Heritage Hospice of Danville, 120 Enterprise Dr, Danville, KY 40422. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
