Patricia "Tish Ann" Sarin

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia “Tish Ann” Sarin (Pluckebaum), a deeply loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Pat was born on March 23, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky, and most recently resided in Frankfort, KY. Pat grew up along the cherished banks of Harrods Creek, where she developed a lifelong love of boating, nature, and laughter. Some of her fondest memories were spent boating on the Ohio River as a proud “river rat,” skillfully piloting her boat equally as well as her father, Arthur Pluckebaum, a talented and respected craftsman boatbuilder. She cherished her teenage days on horseback. She graduated from Eastern High School and began her career as a secretary in the D&D Division at General Electric Appliance Park in Louisville. On August 8, 1964, Pat married the love of her life, Lalit K. Sarin, embarking on an extraordinary journey that took her to New Delhi, India, for a lavish wedding celebration. It was quite the leap for someone who had never before traveled outside Louisville. Their honeymoon around the world reflected the adventure and devotion that would define their 60+ years together. They traveled the world extensively, visiting every continent. Lalit went on to build an accomplished career as an entrepreneur and business leader in Kentucky, with Pat by his side every step of the way. In 1978, Pat and Lalit discovered Rum Point, a hidden gem that quickly became their cherished second home. The Cayman Kai community, where she was known as Miss Pat, brought them immeasurable joy. It was a sanctuary of sunshine, sea breezes, and lasting friendships. The memories made in that special place, on the beach, left an enduring impact on their family and friends for generations to come. Pat and Lalit raised two children, Vivek Sarin (Amy) and Anita Miller (Eric), and she poured her heart into creating a warm and joyful home. Her greatest joys were her family and the simple, meaningful moments they shared, whether tending her garden, writing heartfelt poetry, flipping “bikini pancakes” overlooking the sea, or making her delicious triple-decker PB&J sandwiches. During those years of raising kids, Pat especially enjoyed golfing and loved being on the course as a foursome with Lalit, Anita, and Vivek. She adored her grandchildren: Priya Miller, Sarina Miller, Kayla Stack (Austin), Adeline Lockwood (Ben), Cameron Sarin (Libby), and Braden Sarin (Lainey Flanagan, fiancée). Her heart grew even bigger with the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Isabella Stack, whom she loved dearly. Pat was also a gracious and outstanding hostess who loved to entertain, bringing people together with warmth, charm, and memorable hospitality. She is survived by her brother, Dennis Pluckebaum (Gail), and many dear relatives locally and across the world in India. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tee Tee and Arthur Pluckebaum, and her brother William Pluckebaum. Described by those who knew her as fun, independent, creative, artistic, and a gifted poet, Pat made others feel at ease and brought joy wherever she went. She was also known as kind and friendly, spirited, humorous, and a peacemaker. Pat had the best laugh and the brightest smile… warm, contagious, unforgettable. She was so, so loved by her friends and family. She lived with deep affection for her roots in Harrods Creek, her boating family, her international husband, and her role as a devoted wife and loving homemaker raising her two children. In honor of Pat’s wishes, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross, Louisville Chapter, a cause close to her heart. Her spirit will live on in the laughter of her family, her most gracious way of living and loving, the stories passed down, and the love she gave so generously.
