Gloria Fay Wise-Hall

Frankfort – Gloria LaFay Polly Wise-Hall, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Scott Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Peaks Mill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022, and from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. service time on Friday. Mrs. Wise-Hall was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky on June 22, 1933, to the late Theodore and Ruth Conley Polly. She retired from the Kentucky State Government Department of Agriculture after serving many years as an administrative assistant. Lovingly known as the prayer warrior of her family, she was a fierce and devoted woman who took joy in praying for her family and friends. As the matriarch of the family, she had a deep, unwavering love for her loved ones. With a gift for hospitality and a talent for cooking, she loved to feed her family and friends. Mrs. Wise-Hall admired God’s creation and the beauty of wildlife. She is survived by her children, Debbie Joan Wise Dusek and Ralph Theodore “Ted” Wise, Jr. (Jayne); sisters, Glenda Cole, Gladys Hockensmith, and Barbra Renkey (Les); grandchildren, Tiffaney Sudduth Lavoie (Ken) and Rob Sudduth (Erica); Julie Wise-Case (Chad), Jessi Wise Drury (Brandon), great-grandchildren, Zoe Curtis, Gabriel Curtis, Emerson Sudduth, Nora Beth Case, Knox Sudduth and Emma Jayne Case; and two special nieces, Ginny Brennaman-Barger and Beverly Cunningham Fain; and by many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Theodore Wise, Sr. and Charles Ray Hall; brothers, Raymond Polly and Paul Polly; and by her beloved fur-baby, Pepe. Serving as pallbearers will be Ted Wise, Rob Sudduth, Ken Lavoie, David Polly, Mark Polly, Don Polly, Matthew Renkey, and Edward Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be James Lewis, Bobby Lewis, Eric Ward, Les Renkey, Ray Barger, and Pat Grugin. Flowers are welcome and expressions of sympathy may be made to the New Harvest Assembly of God, 3864 US-127, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
