Frankfort – Lewverna Jacobs Griggs, age 79, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Private services will be held. Lewverna was born in Frankfort on April 1, 1941, to the late W.C. Jacobs, Sr., and Edna Jacobs. She graduated from Franklin County High School and attended Kentucky State University. She retired from Reynolds Aluminum. Lewverna loved to spend time crocheting and playing the piano. She was a beloved member of Bethel Baptist Church in Louisville. She will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her children, Sloan Griggs (Susan) and Gerald Griggs; siblings, Carrie Stallard and W.C. Jacobs, Jr., (Alta); grandchildren, Leonard Griffen, Sloan Griggs, Jr., Alexander Griggs, Brandon Griggs, and Gerald Griggs, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Michael and Melissa Stallard and Corey, Sheldon, and Chris Jacobs. She was also blessed with a host of wonderful extended family and friends. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
