Frankfort - Persis Lee Vansant, age 96, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021. Services will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, January 18, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. John Opsata officiating. Burial will follow at Frankfort Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Mrs. Vansant was born in New Castle, Indiana on May 27, 1924, to the late Theodore and Grace Lee Riley. She retired after many years serving as an educator. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Capital City Museum, Paul Sawyier Public Library Senior Outreach Program, or the Kentucky Institute for Aerospace Education c/o the Aviation Museum of Kentucky, 4316 Hanger Drive, Lexington KY 40515. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory.
