Charles Ray Hall Frankfort-Services for Charles Ray Hall, 78, of Frankfort, will be held at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Wade Hughes and Rev. Sandra Murphree officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville. He died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in Frankfort following an illness. Born December 23, 1929 in Franklin County, he was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was retired from National Distillery/Jim Beam Brands and was a member of West Frankfort Church of God. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Fay Polly Wise-Hall; his children, Barbara Hall Weber, Rhonda Hall Deaton and Melissa Hall Pullra (Al), all of Frankfort, Debbie Wise Dusek (Joel) and Ted Wise (Jayne), both of Lawrenceburg; two brothers, William Thomas Hall, Millican, TX and Bruce John (Judy) Hall, Capistrano Beach, CA; six grandsons, Charles Richard "Ricky� All, Joshua Thompson, Andrew Deaton, L.Cpl. Jared Deaton (Samantha), Twenty-nine Palms, CA, Stephen Hall and Robby Sudduth; four granddaughters, Raychel Goodrich, Tiffaney Lavoie, Julie Wise and Jessi Wise-Shouse; and four great grandchildren, Gabriel and Zoe Curtis, Levi Price Ritchie and Kelly Goodrich. He also left behind his loving buddy and companion, Petie, his Chihuahua. He was the son of the late Revel Hall and Thelma Rice Hall Fennig Ward. Pallbearers will be Artice Woolums, James Polsgrove, Haskell Harp, Carl Hoover, Scott Gardner and Jim Hoffmann. Honorary bearers will be Kenneth McDaniel, Tom Fugate, Russ Hatter, Nicky Hughes and Charles Hines. Mr. Hall was passionate about his interests in the research of Kentucky veterans of all American wars and assisted numerous families in the research of their relatives� military history. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Sons of the Union Veterans, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and the American Legion, an avid supporter of the Kentucky Historical Society and the Kentucky and Frankfort History Museums. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Memorial Chapel from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday. Military honors will be observed at the graveside the by VFW Post 4075.
