Davis Langford Jackson Jr

Davis “Buck” Langford Jackson Jr., U.S. Navy (Ret.) of Frankfort, Kentucky passed away peacefully on June 13th, 2026 at age 75. The Celebration of Life will be held June 17th, First United Methodist Church at 211 Washington Street in Frankfort, KY from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. All who would like to celebrate the life of Davis are welcome. He was born on October 8th, 1950 in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Davis L. Jackson Sr. and Mary Jackson. He lived a life of service, dedication, and compassion to others. Davis was blessed with six children through his life, Renee (Barney) Jackson Miller, Troy “T.J” (Carole) Jackson, Robbie (Tammy) Jackson, Davis L. Jackson III, and Cassandra (Casey) Jackson and was preceded in death by his son Steven L. Jackson. Davis is survived by his wife Donna (Dickens) Jackson, four siblings, Russel (Dorthy) Jackson, Larry (Jane) Jackson, Mary (Emmett) Blevins, Mark (Natalie) Jackson, five children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Davis was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He honorably served his country on the Ticonderoga before continuing his commitment to public service as a firefighter for the Frankfort Fire Department. He was always quick to react to someone in need, putting his life on the line to help anyone in danger. He was known for his caring nature and the kindness extended to his friends, family, and neighbors. Davis found great joy in the outdoors, starting with his journey through Boy Scouts and Troupe 49, where he made lifelong friends. He was an avid fisherman who especially cherished time fishing “The Line” at Green River Lake and Mt. Dora Lake catching Crappie and Catfish cruising through the Dora Canal and whipping you around on a tube. Golfing was another outdoor love. Whether in Kentucky or Florida, he was at home. The memories and friendships he made along the way he treasured deep in his heart. Above all, Davis was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering dedication to others and the positive impact he made. His legacy of service, friendship, and love will continue to live on through his family, friends, and all people lives he touched in any way.
