Frankfort - Donna Sue Moore Owens, 56, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at UK Healthcare in Lexington surrounded by her loving family. Services for Donna will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Troth officiating. Burial will follow in Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 5-8 p.m. Donna was born in Frankfort on May 11, 1959. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Donna retired as Human Resources Administrator, Kentucky State Police with 22 years of service. Donna''s career at Kentucky State Police was not only her job it was a way of life, being a part of the family that makes up the organization, both the officers and civilians. Her second passion in life was her family, her husband, three loving sons and their six grandchildren. She was a doting grandmother who dearly loved spending time and resources on them every day. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Robert Martin Owens, her sons and best friends, Joshua Robert Owens (Ann Harvey), Michael Scott Owens (Anna) and Timothy David Owens (Erica Snider); her mother and stepfather, Betty Jean Sheets Harrod and Ronald Lawrence Harrod; grandchildren, Reagan and Sadie Owens, Evelyn Owens and her new baby brother or sister due October 31, 2015, and Abigail and Claire Owens, all of Frankfort; brother, Kenneth Randall Moore (Linda), Bowling Green, KY; stepbrother, William Bill Lawrence Harrod (Cheryl), Frankfort; and stepsister, Raydeanna Mae Harrod Stockton (G.P.), Frankfort. Pallbearers are Leslie Gannon, Tony Edwards, Russ Harney, Matt Scott, Tim Lucas, John Blanton, James Hodge and Dwayne Depp. Honorary bearers will be Terri Tracy, Madonna Pilcher, Missy Moore, Sheila Talley, Teresa Prather, Michelle Starkweather, Connie Meador Sheets, Faith Flowers and Glenda Hager. In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate expressions of sympathy in her memory be made to Kentucky State Police Trooper Island, PO Box 473, Albany, KY 42602.
